Benito has twice won Sydney FBi Radio's play competition and had the resultant plays broadcast live from The Sydney Opera House. The second of these, "The Strange Case of the Parrott & The Stolen Sydney Opera House" starred Brendan Cowell, Damon Herriman, Kate Mulvany and Tug Dumbly.  ​

After twice winning their play competition FBi Radio commissioned Benito to wrote a weekly serial. He wrote, cast, directed and performed "The Case of the Missing Narrative" over a year as part of the Jack Shit's show, taking suggestions for plot twists from FBi Radio listeners, and using several of Sydney's musical talents such as Christa Hughes and Michael Lira.

Benito has also adapted several of his Short & Sweet plays for 2SER-FM, including "Pokie Face", "Unpeople" ​and "​Naked, With A Blue Light."
